Description
Vintage Hammond Auto-Vari 64 Analog Drum Machine (black face) Model 101100
Pretty cool old school drum machine here. 16 rhythm patterns to choose from each with 4 variations and 6 different measure lengths. Adjustable tempo and an “Auto-Vari” switch which scrolls though the 4 variations automatically. Turning this off lets you select each variation by pressing one of the four buttons. The sounds are typical of those Roland or Ace vintage rhythm boxes which is to say the sounds are primitive but cool. The SILENT/SOUND button doesn’t just mute the audio but actually stops the rhythm and restarts the beat when switched back to SOUND.
This unit has been tested and it appears to work excellently. I can’t test the footswitch jack because I don’t have the footswitch. The unit is also in very good cosmetic condition. There is some inevitable cosmetic wear and tear as well as some white paint speckles where it was evidently in a room that was being repainted.
