ITEM SPECIFICS:
This Louis Vuitton necklace comes together all in one piece. The chain cannot be changed unless it will be done so by an experienced jeweler who is capable of working with silver metals. The overall length of the necklace is measured at 20 inches, with about a 19 inch chain. The pendant is stamped Ag925 433330 on the bottom of it. While the pendant itself measures to about 5/8 inch by 3/8 inch. The outer yellow box does show some wear, and has a large stain on one of the corners. This piece also comes with several storage bags, as well as a box and small booklet.
This necklace’s design was based on the iconic padlock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890. The Silver Lockit pendant was created as part of Louis Vuitton’s partnership with UNICEF. For each pendant sold, £140 was donated to support vulnerable children who have been exposed to conflict, disease or natural disasters. To coincide with the launch of the partnership, Louis Vuitton also unveiled a campaign featuring celebrities making “pinky promises” to help children in need.
